Japan: Tepco urged to end nuclear power

Angry shareholder say Japans Tokyo Electric Power Co. should abandon nuclear energy in the wake of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear crisis.A motion for company to give up on nuclear was put forward at the companys first annual shareholders meeting since the March 11 earthquake and tsunami caused a meltdown at three of the power generating plants six reactors, but was defeated, the BBC reported Tuesday.
