Japan’s Ayumi Morita Winning at Wimbledon

Japan’s Ayumi Morita reached the second round of women’s singles at Wimbledon with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Australian Jarmila Gajdosova on Monday.
Morita, ranked 85th in the world, advanced to the second round of Wimbledon for the first time in two years after beating the 76th-ranked Gajdosova at the All England Club.
Misaki Doi, who gained a spot in the main draw after a player withdrew from the tournament, faces Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands in another first round match.
