The ordinance, like the one against feeding monkeys, will prohibit residents from leaving food for crows with the intention of attracting them, the city, located in Osaka Prefecture, said. Only Adachi Ward in Tokyo has a similar ordinance, it added.
Those who refuse to allow city officials onto their property to investigate crow feeding, or refuse the city’s request to stop feeding them, may be reported to the police, according to the ordinance. Violators face a fine of up to ¥100,000.
