On a day that started dull and wet, the sun was shining by the time leaders set out and Miyazato took advantage of the ideal conditions with a glorious round of five birdies for a 13 under par total that pushed her two shots ahead of a packed field.
Four players shared second place – Americans Stacy Lewis and Angela Stanford, South Koreas Hong Ran and the halfway leader, Japans Miki Saiki.Miyazato admits she struggled during the early part of the season in the wake of her countrys earthquake disaster.
