The German city of Dortmund is to host the Japan Media Arts Festival 2011, marking the 15th year since the event was first staged.
The festival is being organized by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs with the aim of promoting the creation and development of media arts – particularly in the realms of comics, animation, games and media art – around the world. Previous festivals have been staged in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Vienna and, most recently, Istanbul.
