I am very sorry for worrying the members, you fans, staff members, my family, and many people for the article about me on a weekly magazine that will be released today.
As the first generation member of AKB48 that was formed back in 2005, I was supposed to be in the position where I always had to act as a role model for the junior members. However, what I have done was such a thoughtless and a lack of self-awareness behavior.
Since my mind is still in blank, I did not know what to do or what I can do, but as I just saw the magazine, I could not sit still, so I decided all by myself to shave my head without even telling the members or my agency.
I do not expect that I would be forgiven by doing this, but what I first thought was that I did not want to quit AKB48.
I was unable to think of leaving AKB48 now where the members I love and spent my youth together, and you warm fans are. I know this is being over‐optimistic, but I want to stay as Minegishi Minami of AKB48 if possible.
It was all my fault about this. I am very sorry.
I will leave everything to Akimoto-sensei’s and the management’s judgement. Though I haven’t been able to sort out my feelings, I just wanted to tell you how I was feeling right now.
The latest Golden Globe Awards theme song will hit iTunes for the first time this year. To mark the event’s 70th anniversary, Japanese star and classically-trained multi-instrumentalist Yoshiki composed and recorded a song that will open the show and appear throughout the Jan. 13 broadcast.
Yoshiki, who’s also in the hit rock group X-Japan, played many of the instruments himself before adding a full string orchestra to the piece. He said he tried to come up with something beautiful, but also edgy and festive for the occasion.
“It’s such an honor to be a part of this esteemed event which is enjoyed by hundreds of millions around the world,” said Yoshiki. “Composing this music was a journey that involved creating numerous versions in order to arrive at just the right sound to capture the unique combination of glamour and edginess that makes the Golden Globe Awards so entertaining.”
On Jan. 15, the theme song will be available on iTunes, with all profits going to charity.
Perfume have revealed the jacket covers for their upcoming single, “Mirai no Museum”, which will be released on February 27th.
This song was written for the movie, ‘Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Himitsu Dougu Museum’, that’s scheduled to open in theaters on March 9th. The regular edition jacket is a pop design featuring the girls dressed as detectives.
Meanwhile, the limited edition jacket is an illustration done by the animators of ‘Doraemon’. It shows the members wearing the same outfit and striking the same pose as the regular edition jacket cover.
