Takei Emi to debut release debut single, Koisuru Kimochi

Actress Takei Emi (17) will debut as a singer this December, it has been learned. Her debut single, “Koisuru Kimochi,” is described as a balled perfect for winter, written by GLAY’s TAKURO.

Because Takei has long been a fan of GLAY, she requested through her management agency to have TAKURO write a song for her. The song was recorded in early October.

“Koisuru Kimochi” will be released on December 14 through Universal Music’s Universal J label.

It appears that Takei will develop her singing career while continue with her acting. She already has a busy schedule lined up for 2012, including the NHK taiga drama series “Taira no Kiyomori,” the release of the movie “Ai to Makoto 201X,” and the release of the live-action “Rurouni Kenshin” film.

Takei Emi to star as Kamiya Kaoru in “Rurouni Kenshin”

The heroine of the “Rurouni Kenshin” live-action movie has just been revealed. Rising star Takei Emi (17) will take on the role of Kamiya Kaoru, playing opposite lead actor Sato Takeru’s (22) Himura Kenshin.

The movie, based on Watsuki Nobuhiro’s popular manga of the same name, was just officially confirmed last month. Filming begins in August, so Takei is already preparing with training in swordplay and other skills.

Theatrical release is planned for summer 2012.

Takei recently starred in the manga-to-drama adaptation “Asukou March!” She has also landed major roles in the 2012 taiga drama “Taira no Kiyomori” and the 2012 movie “Ai to Makoto 201X.”
