Japan and the rest of the world have to wait for iPad due to U.S. demand

Apple Inc. has postponed the release of its iPad tablet computer in Japan–and other countries outside the United States–by a month due to better-than-expected demand in the United States, the firm announced Wednesday. Apple had planned to start the iPad’s international rollout at the end of April, but this has been pushed back to the end of May after it shipped more than 500,000 devices in the week after it debuted in the United States on April 3. The U.S. firm will announce prices and start taking online orders on May 10.
